New in Bern?

Are you curious about what is happening in the Jewish community of Bern and what the community can offer you?

Our synagogue regularly holds services on Friday evenings and Shabbat mornings. Usually, after the Shabbat service, we enjoy a kiddush and socialize. Shiurim, cultural events such as Salon Sefer (book club), theater performances, visits to the cinema, art shows or other events are on the calendar all year round. We celebrate all Jewish holidays together and there is always a varied program for young and old. Children's services are popular on holidays.

Children of members have the opportunity to attend religious education classes. School age children can participate in the Dubim, the youth group with a cool program on the weekends. Activities include bowling, football matches, cinema visits, ice skating, Machanot (camps) etc.

The Jewish youth of Bern offers a variety of events for young adults. Regular Shabbat meals, snack and learn, and after-work meetings are common events.
